Where episodes come from

Today every episode in Become is a public YouTube video: interviews, podcasts published on YouTube, talks and lectures. Become uses YouTube API Services to find candidate episodes and read their public details (title, channel, length, views and engagement), and to play them.

How an episode plays

• In YouTube’s own embedded player, from the creator’s channel. The view counts as a view on YouTube.
• Whole. We never cut, trim, re-edit or re-upload anything, and we never separate a video’s audio from its picture.
• With YouTube’s attribution intact, including any ads YouTube chooses to show. We don’t sell ads of our own around anyone’s episode.
• Covers on this site are served by YouTube and link to the video on YouTube.

How an episode is chosen

Experts first: a path names the expert who earns each step, then searches YouTube for that expert’s conversations. An episode has to pass a trust gate (length, audience and engagement), and its transcript has to actually make the points its step needs. One expert per step. The full method is on How it works.

Being chosen isn’t an endorsement by you of Become, or by Become of everything you’ve said elsewhere. It means one conversation of yours was the best available fit for one step of someone’s path.

If you’d rather not be included

Write to creators@tobecome.me from an address connected to your channel, with the video links. We’ll remove the episodes from future paths, and replace them in existing ones, without asking you to justify it.
