Terms of use

The agreement between you and Become.

Last updated: October 7, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Become website and app (“Become”), operated by its founder, as an individual developer. By using Become you agree to them, and to our privacy policy.

YouTube. Become uses YouTube API Services. By using Become, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

2. What Become is

Become builds paths made of publicly available episodes, mostly from YouTube, and provides a Host, an AI companion, that guides you through them. Become is in beta: features may change, and things may sometimes not work as they should.

3. Your account

You need to be at least 16. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.

4. The episodes belong to their creators

Become makes none of the episodes. They belong to their creators and play in YouTube’s embedded player under YouTube’s terms. Become doesn’t claim ownership of them, doesn’t endorse every view expressed in them, and isn’t affiliated with their creators or with YouTube. An episode may become unavailable if its creator or YouTube removes it.

5. The Host is an AI, not a professional

The Host runs on AI language models. It can be wrong. It is not a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser, and nothing in Become is professional advice. For anything medical, psychological, legal or financial, consult a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.

6. Your content

What you write and say in Become (your answers, insights, actions and conversations) stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide Become to you, as described in the privacy policy.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Become: don’t try to break or overload it, access other people’s data, scrape it, use it to harass anyone, or use it in a way that breaks the law or YouTube’s terms.

8. Ending

You can stop using Become and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we stop offering Become; we’ll try to give notice where we can.

9. Price

Become is free during the beta. If that changes, we’ll tell you before you’re asked to pay for anything. We will never charge you to watch an episode.

10. No warranty, and limits on liability

Become is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Become is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content made by third parties, including the episodes.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and tell you directly if a change is significant. Continuing to use Become after a change means you accept it.
